stray cats and sloppy joes

i had a day off yesterday and it was faaabulous--really one of the best days i've had in a while. i slept in just a little bit, woke up and got ready, picked up the house, did laundry and dishes, and made lunch for dave when he got home at 12:45. we got to sit down together and eat and talk and then i had a nap, which lasted about 2 1/2 hours longer than i had planned. but hey, no worries--it's my day off, right? i then got the rare opportunity to run errands and stock our kitchen for the next week. came home, made sloppy joes, and sat down with dave for dinner for the first time since we opened the store. michelle came over for a while to help dave with an accounting dilemma and we chatted for a bit. michelle then accompanied me on an infamous jack in the box run (yes, i admit it, i'm weak)...on our way out of the house, though, we saw the stray cat (for those of you who haven't heard, our apartment complex has a stray kitten and he is so tiny and precious and fast)!! we tried to capture him so we could shower love upon his adorable little head, but he was too speedy for us. when we got back, though, he was on mine and dave's porch again! this time, he evaded michelle and i with a heroic and agile leap off the balcony--yes, this little guy is incredible. michelle went home after that, but once i went inside and told dave about the little rascal, he got intrigued and we left a bit of sloppy joe out on the porch for him...WHICH HE ATE! we watched him out the window and he was so precious. tonight, i will leave him real kitten food and hopefully he will let me pet his beautiful little head. oh, that picture isn't THE kitten, but i was hoping to melt your heart with something equal to him in lovability.

oh, hey!

i think you're smart, pretty, and entitled to your own opinions.

i'd love it if the feeling was mutual!
