it's a..

we found out yesterday morning that we're having a son in april!

after confidently telling everyone, "we're pretty sure it's a boy. i know we're supposed to say we don't care as long as the baby's healthy and all that...but we kind of want a boy," and referring to the baby as "him" since day one, i started to get worried. what if it was a girl? would i look like a bad mother? would people think i loved a daughter any less? luckily, our instincts were right and little man parts showed up on the ultrasound screen yesterday (i promptly burst into tears). we have always wanted our oldest to be a son. i can confidently say that we wouldn't have been disappointed for one second with a baby girl...but we are so excited to welcome a little man into the family.

back to regularly scheduled programming tomorrow (hopefully. today i'm braving the 15ish-hour drive back to idaho and don't know if i'll feel much like blogging when i get back).

  4. Congratulations! Is it weird that I kinda want a little boy first? I think it's because I always wanted an older brother, so I want to give that to my future daughters.

oh, hey!

i think you're smart, pretty, and entitled to your own opinions.

i'd love it if the feeling was mutual!
